There are so many subscription beauty boxes out there at the moment, but is it really worth subscribing to? And what do you really get out of it? I subscribed to Glossybox for 12 months and here are my thoughts after receiving the first box...

Every month there is a new theme and I signed up in June to get the August Glossybox because they sell out so quick so this intrigued me even more and I couldn't wait to get hold of it! And I have to say though August was the perfect time to get my box because it was their birthday month, so I was really impressed with what they had given me!

At the beginning of the month they dispatch your box so you get it between the 10th-15th of the month. When mine arrived it came in the cutest little pink box and it contained five full sized products which were amazing!

I got the Huda beauty demi matt lipstick which is worth £18 alone, so already you can see the value of the box itself in comparison to the price I paid. There was also the brushworks wonder complexion sponge (worth £5.49), Molton Brown rhubarb and rose shower gel (worth £7.33), Steve Laurent lip liner (worth £12.09) and finally the original Glossybox eye boost cream (worth £20) from the new skin care range they've just launched (I'll be doing a review on this next week!).

Overall this August box is worth £62.91, but I've paid one monthly fee of £11.75. Wow! I think its definitely worth the value of money, and it's a nice little surprise at your doorstep like a little monthly treat, and we all know we need that!

The good thing about this box is that it also gives you a chance to try products you wouldn't typically buy, so you can test them and if you like them you can buy them.

I honestly can't wait for the September box, the theme for that is the ultimate relaxing spa experience, so they've already given a sneak peak of what the first product is. You won't believe it but they're giving away the Avant supreme hyaluronic acid anti-oxidising duo moisturiser which is worth £89! I know right! You pay £11.75 to be pampered with expensive products you can keep! Amazing!

I think everyone deserves a monthly treat, whether it's makeup or skin care, so I'm going to continue using this subscription because I love the brands they use and you really can't go wrong for the value!
